I am on a journey of self discovery since going through anxiety and depression, which left me feeling like I didn’t quite know who I was anymore. One of the most inspiring and helpful tools in this process has been a book that my best friend bought for me called The Little Book Of Chakras.
One thing I have always been interested in is alternative medicine and therapies, and chakra healing fascinates me.
The Little Book Of Chakras gives you step by step instructions on exactly how to heal your chakras.
Today I would like to tell you a bit more about this book, how it changed my life for the better and how it could help you too. And also give you an idea of some of the tools I found useful during my practices with it.
I have seen lots of other books on chakra healing, but none that give you so much information, that you can carry in your handbag for quick reference, and that is so easy to understand.
What is the Little Book Of Chakras?
You may be thinking “What is this book that she’s going on about?” Below is the description from the author of the book herself:
“This beautifully illustrated little book will help you to awaken your chakras to improve your physical health, balance energies and resolve physical, emotional and spiritual issues. With detailed descriptions of the chakras and their associations and easy-to follow exercises and activities, you will learn how to work with each of these powerful centres of energy to enhance all aspects of your life.”
To start with, this book introduces you to where chakra healing comes from, what chakras are and how they help to improve your overall well being.
To start using it, all you have to do is follow the guidelines for the exercises for each chakra. There are several exercises you can try for each chakra so its worth having a go at all of them to see which ones work best for you.
There is also advice on which essential oils work best for each chakra and a brief introduction to the crystals that can help too.
I have tutorial posts on each of the chakras that I took from this book, so if you would like to see an example of one of the exercises from each chakra you can find the links for these posts below.
Does chakra healing really work?
Before I started using this book and trying out the exercises, I had exactly the same question! It all seemed a little ‘out there’ for me. But I will try anything once, even if its just so I can say I didn’t like it!
However, I have been pleasantly surprised with this. As you will see in my tutorial posts (linked below,) I have given my opinion and reflections on each exercise to let you know what I thought of them.
Overall, I have found them incredibly useful, and I feel more in tune with my body than I ever have. So I am better able to understand what I need now. My anxiety levels have decreased so much, and I will be looking into alternative therapies more.
